WHAT’S BEEN HAPPENING

Carpark – Thank you to our sponsors

  • In just two weeks we have changed the end of school pick-up with our new carpark!! Now the buses can come in and park in the pick-up area again at 3pm, load up and leave relatively quickly.
  • The bus drivers are very happy and feel safer!!
  • By parking and walking the cars are no longer waiting out on the road to enter the driveway. All parents feel safer not waiting out on Waitoki Road at the mercy of the daily traffic.
  • The local truck drivers and members of the community can continue with their buisness with out getting held up.

It is time to thank everyone who made this possible. In just one week in the school holidays we had diggers, trucks and people making this happen.

Please see a list of everyone involved that supported this project:

  • BK Cartage (Blair & Kiri Waldrom)

    The new carpark!!

  • ProCut Earthmoving (Cam)
  • Bob Hick Earthmoving (Jake Russel)
  • Neville Brothers
  • Atlas Concrete, Silverdale

THIS WEEK

Camp Raglan – The full team of both Takahe and Tui team classes are heading down to the Waikato to Camp Raglan. It has been a while since we have been able to go to camp due to the effects of the pandemic so naturally some of our students are anxious and some are so so excited!! We are as a school totally committed to providing  a camp each year, outdoor education experience. Camp Raglan has fabulous reviews and by the looks of the photos an amazing setting. Miss Leanne Stevenson has been to visit, has planned an amazing camp, she is taking lots of parents, the other 4 teachers and a full camp of children. We wish all the students, teachers; Mrs Blackburn, Mr Wotton, Mr Cochrane, and Mr Ng and parents/ caregivers a fabulous 3 days and look forward to hearing all about it on Friday!!

Camp Raglan’s setting!!

Group Day Friday 4th November – Is at Helensville Showgrounds. All the best to our entries – (see Leo Soulsby and Ella McMurray in the photo below). NEXT WEEK

Cricket Zone Day – We have a few cricket fans on our staff now!! Especially Mr Wotton who has got a team together in the senior end of the school. They are going to have fun at the Hibiscus Coast  Zone Fun Day next Thursday 10th November.

FINALLY

Buses and After School Pick-Up – Now we can get the buses up the driveway we can get the buses away smartly. If you have changed the after school arrangements for your child PLEASE let the office know by 2:00pm.
