Start of the Year Information;
The teachers, support staff and myself are so looking forward to welcoming you all back to Wainui School for 2024. Programmes are prepared, event dates organised, the school has been cleaned, some areas have new carpets and heat pumps and the pool is ready.
Welcome back to Mrs Sandy Blackburn as the Acting Deputy Principal, welcome to Mrs Fiona Sutton our new teacher in year 5&6. Welcome to Mrs Tracey Uhe as the teacher in year 3&4, with a new teacher Mrs Kate Harland for one day a week replacing Mr Ng.
Outside the gates has also had some work done to improve the culvert and ensure we do not flood in the future. This work is not quite complete Downers have asked me to inform all parents and visitors this is taking longer than thought and will be another two weeks. Please be mindful there will be holdups getting into and out of the gates. They have a traffic management team that will be observing and helping to manage this situation.
Buses
- If your arrangements are the same as last year we will keep this.
- If your bus arrangement has changed you MUST inform the office before midday tomorrow.
- If you are new to catching the bus you MUST inform the office
Early Communication is the key to this all working smoothly.
Opening Times and closing.
School drop is after 8:15. a.m. Pick up by 3:15 pm
All children can go straight to their new classes where their teachers will be looking forward to meeting and greeting every one.
