How to Enrol
Welcome to Wainui School, if you are making an inquiry please fill in the “Making an Inquiry to Enrol” form below. If you are enrolling, please complete the “Enrolment Form” at the bottom of the page. Please ensure you are aware and communicate with us if you are in or out of zone.
To Arrange an Initial Visit
To arrange an initial visit please contact the school office on 09 420 5127 or email exo@wainui.school.nz to make an appointment to meet with the principal.
New Entrant
Parents or caregivers are to enrol New Entrants at least one month before they turn five years old. There are a few forms that need to be filled out by parents which if possible need to be completed before the children start. Parents will need to bring the child’s birth certificate and immunisation record, or Immigration papers if necessary. Preschoolers have several (4) visits prior to starting school to ensure the best transition to school. These visits are arranged (on completion of enrolment) with the Principal and New Entrant teacher.
New Students (not New Entrants)
To enrol other children (not new entrants), please bring any records or books from the previous school plus birth certificates and immunisation records. Wainui School has an enrolment zone.
All documents listed below must be provided with the Enrolment Form upon application. We will take a copy for our records:
- Student’s Birth Certificate or NZ Passport.
- Student’s Immunisation record, Well-Being Child book or doctors confirmation.
- Student’s and parent’s passports/ relevant visas if not a New Zealand citizen.
- Report from previous school if applicable.
