I invite you to find out a little more about our unique school and the exciting educational opportunities we can offer.
We are a full primary school enrolling children from New Entrants to Year 8. Wainui School is set in the most beautiful rural environment with its own vast gardens, substantial piece of bush, a stream and lots of trees. We utilise our environment in lots of what we do from sports and fitness to Inquiry learning, maths and writing to camping and fundraising. This year we will continue our dream of restoring the bush to its more natural state integrating the bush into our programmes and ensure the cycle track is fully completed.
We ensure English and Maths, our core business, is taught well. We also enjoy our Inquiry learning topics plus lots of sports, EOTC, arts and music opportunities. Our Year 7 and 8 Intermediate area of the school enjoy an enriched programme that prepares them for college. They are given leadership opportunities, are offered technologies and learn a language.
We are a school that embraces and uses technology for learning. All children have access to iPads and laptops, our Year 7 and 8 are fully BYOD – ‘Bring Your Own Device’.
