FROM THE PRINCIPAL’S DESK
Kia ora Koutou,
I hope everyone had a good break over the long weekend despite all the rain!! It let us all have a rest and recharge of the batteries.
Life Education – This week we have the Life Education truck with us. We have been participating in the Life Education programmes for many years now. In fact for 30 years Life Education has been teaching health in New Zealand schools! The Life Education truck has this year had a refit. It is even more high tech but will still have Harold, the Life Education mascot!! I have included the link to the back story around the Life Education Truck and Trust. http://www.lifeeducation.org.nz/ourstory. Each team has a different focus but the core elements are the same for all and built around five major strands: food and nutrition, human biology, relationships & communities, identity & resilience and substances. Each team has their own focus which is tied into their programme. As a parent you are most welcome to pop your head in and say hi to Chris the teacher for Life Education.
