Dear Parents and Caregivers,

Health & Safety – In light of a serious incident at an Auckland Primary School yesterday, we are reviewing and tightening up all drop-off and pick-up procedures to ensure Health & Safety is our top priority for your children!

Drop-Off – 8.15am onwards. Two staff members, Principal/ DP/ AP and Office Admin every morning from 8.30am will be at the top of the driveway to meet, greet and help with safety. Mrs Allen meets the New Entrants with us to increase independence.

Dropping students off by car at the very top of the roundabout ensures if someone gets out on the driver’s side, they are not in the pathway of the other vehicles.

After School Pick-Up – 3.00pm – 3.15pm. All children being picked up must wait at the top area by the new building with their teacher. Please walk up and meet your child if you park, and safely escort them to your car. Children will not be coming down to the bottom carpark or waiting by the tree on their own.

Thank you, this will keep everyone safe.

Book Fair – This will be set up in the Library by Miss Stevenson for next week. This is to enable sKIDS to continue their programme in the hall.

Learning Conversations – By now you will have booked a Learning Conversation/ talk with your teacher. I have added a slot here for myself on School Interviews.

Please feel welcome to book a slot to come and talk about anything to do with school, learning, programmes, environment or community.

Mrs Taylor has a new “SENCO” (Special Education Needs Co-Ordinator) slot on School Interviews as well to book a slot if you want to talk about learning support or wellbeing with her.
