Group Day is this Friday – Group Day is an interschool event whereby children from schools such as Coatesville, Dairy Flat, Helensville, Waitoki, Kaukapakapa, Waioneke, all compete with their lambs, calves and kid goats. This year Group Day is being held at the Kumeu Showgrounds due to the usual venue of Helensville Showgrounds being too wet to use. There is a huge table of cups that have been in the community for many years. This is a wonderful day to experience our rural heritage. All the best to those that are competing, all information is being given to you by Mrs Taylor. Please do not hesitate to contact her for more information. To be eligible to attend your child’s animal needed to win a first, second, third or fourth placed ribbon. I look forward to seeing all those competing on Friday at the showgrounds.
