Dear Parents and Caregivers

Apologies, the Ag Day information included in the newsletter yesterday was incorrect, here is the corrected information.

Ag Day 2020 – Update # 2

To enter an animal, the lamb, calf, or kid goat must be born between 1st July and 15th September. Yes – calves are back this year after confirmation from MPI for their inclusion.

The school holidays provide an excellent opportunity for the children to bond with their animals – spending time feeding, loving, and caring for their new friend!!

We are ordering the day-old chicks again too (Brown Shavers). The chicks will be delivered to school after their August 21st hatch date.

Orders to: exo@wainui.school.nz  Chicks are $10.00 each.

The supplier for our chicks also stock heat lamps, chick drinkers and chick feeders etc, and parents can opt to have this added on to their chick orders and it will arrive with the chicks. Let Mel Ludwig (exo@wainui.school.nz) know if you want any more information about this but the supplier does stock the Shoof NZ products and the German quality brand Trixie for heat lamps.

Regards
Wainui School
