Dear Parents and Caregivers

Today you would have received your summative report of the year. Having read and signed all of the 323 reports I am so proud of us all, the hard work the love and care shown in these reports to all our tamariki!! Thank you teachers and parents for this, if there are any worries or concerns please do not hesitate to contact myself, the SENCO Jason Irvine or the classroom teacher, we are available and here to support you.

You will have read some teachers have moved classes and levels and there is a new teacher. As well Mrs Blackburn returns from her leave being the Acting Principal at Tairua School.

We welcome a new teacher Mrs Fiona Sutton to the Tui Team (Year 5&6). Mrs Sutton comes from Albany Primary School, is very qualified and can’t wait to join us.

We have to start the year:

5 Junior classes

3 Year 3&4 classes

4 Year 5&6 classes

2 classes in the Year 7&8 area

There is some change physically, the year 7&8s are going into the new building – where the year 3 &4’s were. It is bigger for our growing group!! The Kiwi Team move to the middle of the school.

The Year 5&6’s will all be down the end!! The big move of furniture is Monday, if you can help please come to school Monday morning ready to do this after the 9:00am values assembly. Any time of the day will help though as we also have to move the tech block, the offices out and the staffroom as we are having new carpet!!

I have updated all the details on the school website https://wainui.school.nz/staff/

Have a great weekend.
