Dear Parents and Caregivers,
A lot can happen in a weekend and here we are again!! If like me you were away and had to contend with getting through the border, I started to realise what other countries have been going through!! We find ourselves separated from the “normality of our usual life”!! This post is a short one to say we are all here to help, please connect with your child’s teacher if you haven’t, please do not be afraid to ask for help, a separate meeting. If you need a device we will loan you one, if you need hard copies of the work we will print them for you and contactless pick up can be arranged, just email or call us. I am at school every day!!
So today Day One of Lockdown Level 3 went well!!
We had a small group of children and a number of staff here and we reorganized ourselves to enable everyone to connect with their teacher as well as form a new group of learners at school! All the classroom teachers have connected with the children at home through Google Meets and ZOOM, this is their main focus.
I want to thank all the teachers for once again switching into online learning – please be mindful it is not our “normal”, moving in and out of lockdown. The teachers are all reflecting and learning new programmes and upskilling.
We know it is anxious times, it is stressful, it can be a real balancing act if you are working from home as well! We wish each and every one of you all the best and are here if you need us.
There will be the usual newsletter tomorrow, then smaller posts almost every day to keep you all informed.
Take care, kind regards and hope to be together again very soon.
