Dear Parents and Caregivers

Kia ora all.

We are now just 2 sleeps away from the children returning to Wainui School.

This newsletter is to ensure:

  1. Buses – with new company are in order.
  2. Drop-off and pick-up procedures are in place for Thursday.

Buses – After much talking with GoBus and the Ministry we have the bus runs, see below for the links.

We maintained the Kowhai Road bus stop!

There are 3 bus runs:

  1. Bus Route 20213 – Haruru/ Tahekeroa bus (the old bus route 1977 – Tahekeroa bus). Click here for the bus route description and map. Bus Route 20213 – Description  Bus Route 20213 – Map

The old bus route 1514 – Weranui/ Kowhai Rd has been split into 2 bus runs.

We have worked to ensure all roads and timings are correct. The new drivers and company have been in training over the last few weeks. Please be mindful this is a new company.

Please email the office on exo@wainui.school.nz with your details for the bus:

  • Child’s full name
  • Bus route number
  • Days travelling on bus

This will ensure we put your child/ children on the right bus on the right day.

Mask Wearing – Thank you to everyone who has informed us of exemptions to your child wearing a mask. Just to reiterate, unless exempted or dicussed with us  all children in year 4 and upwards wear a mask whilst inside learning spaces and on the bus.

Drop-Off – To minimise the number of people on-site, please drop-off at the roundabout if you can. If you do come in please scan the QR code, wear a mask and keep your visit to a minimum time.

Pick-Up –

  1. New Entrants – Early pick-up at 2.30pm (with their older siblings) from top of the roundabout
  2. Year 1-2 – Top of the roundabout on the left-hand side as you drive up
  3. Year 3-4 – Top of the roundabout in the middle
  4. Year 5-8 – Little Bush Road carpark
