FROM THE PRINCIPAL’S DESK
Kia ora Koutou,
This week we celebrate the value of Relational/Whanaunatanga but we also celebrate the impromptu visit from Jay Geldard founder of the E Tū Tāngata programme.
The E Tū Tāngata Programme is an initiative dedicated to fostering leadership and community development among youth. The mission of the programme is to empower young individuals by providing them with the tools and opportunities to make a positive impact on their communities and beyond.
The programme was founded by Jay Geldard, a visionary with a deep passion for social change and youth empowerment. His extensive background in Youth work, education, etc and, commitment to service has been the driving force behind the programme’s success and ongoing impact. Jay visited each classroom in the school and the staff and was so impressed at our development the feel of E Tū Tāngata with our students!!! He told us we are the “leading school in the North Island” for how well we have implemented this initiative. We all felt immensely proud. I have linked you to his facebook site where you will see some of our work.
We live by our school values backed up by the principles of E Tū Tāngata!! https://www.facebook.com/share/p/x23F7Y7giTTgiGQn/?mibextid=qi2Omg

FINALLY
The newsletter will soon be revamped! We aim to link the newsletter more to the website and refine the information. We will be moving to sending the newsletter out every two weeks not weekly. We aim for the newsletter to be more streamlined and efficient in the content. There will be a little increase in eTAP email and more time to update the content on the website. Please remember we are a small office team of myself, Mel Ludwig and Barbara De Cort. Deadlines will be very tight to enable us to do this.
