Year 8 Graduation – We celebrate our students completing 8 years of school life at Wainui School and those who have come to us from other schools. This years Graduation is to be held at the Wainui Golf course. Thank you Miss Stevenson for organising this celebration. It is a very special time as we will be farewelling a number of families who have had a long association with the school, including the Browne Hale family, Bayer family, and Brown family.

Learning Stories:

The Kiwi Team have been questioning, inquiring and constructing bridges. Wow what an amazing outcome produced from their learning. These students were able to explain how different bridges were constructed, here are a few:

Dance Curriculum – The whole school will participate in dance lessons over the next few weeks, and will share their dancing skills with you at Christmas in the Country. Each team will get to dance daily again this year with the incredible Omar! We are all really looking forward to this!

The 120th Helensville A&P Show is being held on Saturday 24th February 2024 – see flyer attached for this.2024 Helensville Show A4 flyer

The Kumeu A&H Show is being held on Friday 9th & Saturday 10th March 2024 (animals compete on Saturday 10th)

These Shows are a lovely wholesome opportunity for children to showcase their artistic or baking talents, as well as enter their Ag Day animals OR even just the family dog, into. There are lots of lovely ribbons (and money!) to be won, with less competition, and is generally more relaxed and enjoyable than the very competitive Group Day! So it’s an enjoyable experience for children, with lots of show day fun to be had after competing.  These Shows are also very good extra-curricular activities for children to have on their ‘CVs’ going forward, and can even help towards consideration for scholarship applications (particularly in agricultural related career study).  It’s great to have these Shows back after the pandemic years, so the Shows would be really grateful for participation.
