Dear Parents and Caregivers
The countdown is on!! Wainui School staff are prepared and ready to go!!
The teachers and support staff have spent two full days learning, preparing and planning, we are ready to welcome you all back!
Thursday was a day of strategic planning with the BOT. We will share this with you all as a community and gather your thoughts over the next few weeks. Today, Friday was professional development around swimming, and the digital curriculum plus organising classrooms and, planning!!
There are some changes in classrooms for some of you to be prepared for!!
New Classrooms News – The Kiwi Team, year 3 and 4 are unable to move in to the new building until the end of the next week!! These classes are set up in the hall and in the library.
Mrs Pam Millar and Mrs Avril Richards are at each end of the hall and Ms Marion Robinson is in the library.
The class areas are all set up and are looking great – the hall has been painted which is very nice.
Pukeko Team News – Year 2 area – We have relocated Mrs Marinda van Dyk to Karaka class space and Miss Shelley Ross stays in the Puriri space, making full use of the spare room.
Official Opening of the New Classrooms – This was to have been on Tuesday 9th February but has now been postponed until we are sure of a move-in date. Date to be advised as soon as we can.
First Day of the Term Tuesday 9th February – All children will meet together for an informal welcome on the grass in front of the kitchen (like Christmas in the Country) at 9:00am.
We look forward to seeing you all. Enjoy Waitangi weekend and stay safe if you are travelling.
