Dear Parents and Caregivers
Kia ora koutou katoa,
As you are well aware, we have our Beach Day @ Wainui tomorrow, where the children will be involved in a range of activities, while in their house groups.
We would like to remind children and families of the following points:
- It will be sunny tomorrow, so please send your children to school with a hat, a shirt that covers their shoulders, and plenty of sunscreen and water! We will have sunscreen available at school for top-ups throughout the day.
- They will spend some time in the pool, so pack togs and a towel.
- Wear as much colour that matches their house colour – Lloyd is green, Lamont is red, Hutson is yellow, and Jacob is blue.
- Food items will be for sale at lunchtime – sausages, Juicies, and some baking – all $2 an item.
As this event is now on school grounds, there is no longer a need for parent supervision. If you would still like to come along and be part of the day, you are more than welcome.
Finally, we’d like to acknowledge to time and effort our Year 8 leader, Bella Browne Hale, has put into her goal of bringing back Beach Day (including some of her holidays). Tino pai e Bella!
Nāku noa, nā
Jason Irvine
