  • Money – School Donation, Kindo, Fundraising, Sponsorship
  • School Donation CAN BE DONATED ON KINDO, THROUGH INTERNET BANKING OR EVEN AT THE OFFCIE BY EFTPOS OR CASH.

Your school donation is important to us, we are a high decile school, decile 9 this means as a school we get some of the least amounts of funding to use from the Government.

This means we must fundraise and rely on school donations to meet our operational costs and provide the extra’s we do, such as running a swimming pool, having bikes and a bike track, the list is endless.

Some of you may have either forgotten or found at the beginning of the year the OfficeMax site to pay through did not work easily as we have noticed our donations contributions are right down. Please think about donating this year, it is not too late for 2022.

It is $200 per child, or $375 maximum if you have 2 or more children. Thank you so much as the Wainui School Board will be very grateful.

Fundraising – This year the target to raise for the FOWS to be able to meet all our plans for 2022 was $35,000 the FOWS have made it to $34,000!! Congratulations Leslie Ann and the team of FOWS. With the rest of the fundraisers for the year; Ag Day and Gala, Calendars, Christmas in the Country we can start ticking off other things on our wish list. (see the school website for the wish list). Well done I can’t thank you all enough!!

Sponsorship – We have a brand new sponsorship document!! This is very exciting for us. If you or a family or friend have a business that is able to sponsor and would like to do so please have a look here at the opportunities. We have had a number of sponsorships in the past that have a made a massive difference to us!! Next move is to create a new sponsor board area!!

  • Ag Day and Gala – The countdown is on to our Annual Ag Day & Gala. It’s on Friday 21st October 2022.Although the event is a little way off, planning is already well underway by a hardworking group of volunteers. There is however a way that you can help out now and over the upcoming weeks. Please find below a list of weekly donations that we would like you to make – if you’re able. Your very generous donations will then be used to make raffles, prizes, lolly bags, etc for our event. If you don’t have time to make a weekly donation, you’re more than welcome to make a $30 donation to the school and we will do the shopping on your behalf (you can make this donation via Kindo as well). You can either drop your items off on a weekly basis or else all at once – whatever is easiest for you!

THERE IS A COLLECTION BUCKET IN THE OFFICE WHERE YOU CAN PLACE YOUR DONATIONS – Thank you for supporting our school!

Awesome win to end the season boys! It has been a pleasure to watch you play and see your development. You have played in the Intermediate Grade and came 3rd in your pool, even though half of your team was made up of Year 5/6s. We have struggled with low numbers because of covid and sickness but you have pulled off some wicked wins against all of the odds. Fantastic effort. A big thank you to coach Garret Pelser – I know he is so proud of you boys and also thank you to Marion Robinson who has been the Teacher in Charge of Hockey – your help and support throughout the season has been most appreciated.

We’re so proud of the way you used your Wainui 5Rs throughout the season – especially your resilience! No matter how many points you were losing by, you never gave up and continued to hustle every single game right to the very end. A huge thank you to your student coaches Iziah Brown and Ty Browne Hale for giving up their time to coach the boys on Sundays and at the game. Also thank you to Halena Howard who has been the Teacher in Charge of Basketball and has supported the team throughout the season. Great mahi everyone!
