Join Wainui School for our annual Quiz Night fundraiser. This year we have a Hawaiian Luau theme, we will be turning up the heat in the hall and have the leis ready!
The Quiz night is one of the biggest nights for parents at Wainui School with space for 100 adults to dress up in theme and have a great night! Tickets cost $20 per person and tables of 10 are available.
This year we have some amazing burger options for pre-order to fows@wainui.school.nz (payment on the night). Your options are:
- Aloha burger – grilled pineapple, bacon & beef patty
- Huli-Huli burger – Slow cooked pork belly, Hawaiian BBQ sauce, slaw
- Hamulau will be Kumara, quinoa & coconut burger
Burgers are served with fries and are $25, or $28 for a Gluten free bun. Brownies are also available to purchase for $10 each. Order now at fows@wainui.school.nz
VnC cocktails and Puhoi beer will be available to purchase on the night.
BYO food and drink are also still an option!
Thanks to the amazing JR (a Wainui school Dad) and his company The Production and Music Agency we have an amazing MC (Mike Puru) and DJ again for entertainment during the quiz.
During the night we will auction some spectacular items that have been kindly donated from Local Businesses and the School Community. We also run a silent auction throughout the night for other donated items, we have over $5,000 of items donated from a night away, to tennis club membership, to activity vouchers to restaurant vouchers.
Doors open at 6:30pm with the quiz starting sharply at 7pm and if you’ve ever been to a pub quiz, you know what to expect. This one is just bigger and better! The team with the most points at the end of the night, wins the new, and hopefully coveted, Wainui School Quiz Night trophy and some other goodies.
You may reserve a table of 10 through emailing fows@wainui.school.nz and then individual members can pay for their seats, rather than one person paying for the entire table up front. Payment can be made directly to the school at reception, or through Kindo.
It’s completely up to you if you want to dress up. Part of the fun for many teams is to go to great effort with their costumes.
While it is a school fundraiser and most people take the opportunity to spend quality time with /or get to know other Wainui Parents, you are welcome to fill your table with non-Wainui School friends, family, neighbours, whoever you wish (as long as they are over 18). If you have a group of less than 10 people, you can still reserve a table and we can pop a few extra people on it to help you fill it up!
We also recommend you bring lots of gold coins. After each round of questions, tables are allowed to buy 2 answers for $2 each to help your score. We also run plenty of other gold coin donation games to keep you entertained during the night.
